Editor

The editor has the following "modes":

  • ?mode=list displays the name, creation date, modification date, and size in bytes of each of a number of entries. Click on an entry name to edit the entry.
    • &from=2007-05-27 displays only entries created or modified on or since 2007-05-27.
    • &to=2007-08-02 displays only entries created or modified on or before 2007-08-02.
    • &name=clock displays only entries whose names contain "clock".
    • &min=1200 displays only entries whose size is at least 1200 bytes.
    • &max=10K displays only entries whose size is at most 10K (10,240 bytes).
    • &text=img%20src displays only entries whose text contains "img src".
  • ?mode=edit displays the text of a given entry.

In edit mode, the editor has two panes.

  • The top pane displays the textarea where you do your editing.
  • The bottom pane has tabs.
    • One tab has a clipboard -- a document containing scraps of text and HTML that can be copied into the main editor.
    • One tab shows a preview of the HTML in the textarea.
    • One tab has a textarea and a dropdown list of things that can be done with the lines of text in the textarea:
      • Sort the lines.
      • Add <table> HTML markup.
      • Add <p> HTML markup.
      • Convert a string into a set of links to various film sites.
      • Convert a string into a set of links to various book sites.
    • One tab has a utility for uploading and downloading files.
